EMPOWERING BURKINA FASO'S WOMEN
Education, financial empowerment, and spiritual care for underprivileged and orphan women and girls

ABOUT BURKINA FASO
Burkina Faso is a landlocked country in West Africa, roughly the size of Italy, and is surrounded by six countries: Mali, Niger, Benin, Togo, Ghana, and Ivory Coast. Burkina Faso is one of the least developed countries in the world. Due to French colonialism, the country’s official language is French, although 60 indigenous languages are officially recognized.
SERVICES

Financial Empowerment
AES supports women through providing micro-loans to female entrepreneurs and creating a vendor program to help women generate income through soap making, bead making, printing, pomade making, and selling local products.

Education
Association Evangélique Sowtaa (AES) seeks to support women in their education through training programs and housing.

Justice & Peace Building
Part of AES’ work is to help educate women on how to live peacefully in the context we find ourselves in. To promote peace building, we hold workshops and invite guest speakers knowledgeable in these topics to come and share with us.
